Hello from TURKKEY to the rest of the world

 

We welcomed a new year with new prospects as people of the world. In these early days of 2010, we are presenting our magazine, TURKKEY, which we strongly believe will make substantial contributions to presentation of our beautiful country. As known, the land our country is situated on, has sheltered many gateways for the humankind for ages; it has served as a bridge between two main continents, which is a unique quality. That is why the significance and prosperity of our land is unquestionable in a cultural, geographical and historical sense.We set off with the aim to promote the resourcefulness of our country, with this magazine you are holding at the moment. And we fulfilled a dream that has never been realized. A periodical in a foreign language…

Now our country, like many others, owns a publication in English-a global language. Why did we need such a publication? Our goal as TURKKEY magazine is, to introduce Turkey and its people in English to foreigners, to people of the press, top-level executives in our country, and certainly, to give our citizens working in foreign countries a close follow up on current events.

There is a wide range of topics we hope you will enjoy.There will be interviews with foremost people from politics to art, sports to education. Furthermore, historical  sites and scenic beauties of Turkey will appear in our magazine.

I would like to sincerely thank all our guests who have believed in us and haven’t withhold their support, and you, our primary readers.
